How can I get rreasonably priced shipping for a kayak coming to Dc from Illinois?

I'm 12. My dad is paying for the kayak, but I can't blow a thousand dollars on freight shipping. Where can i get shipping for a couple hundred dollars?

  1. UPS should be able to handle it


  2. Try Greyhound.  We use Greyhound to ship large antique car parts such as fenders.  Call the closest Greyhound depot with the dimensions and weight.  They like filling the bottom of those buses too!

  3. It can't be done.

  4. Just buy a new kayak in IL, you can sell the other one online and upgrade.
