Can you shelve books at the library? Does your church have a baby nursery during worship, or a preschool where an extra pair of hands (for an hour or so) would be nice? If not tutoring, can you read Dr. Seuss books to first graders? Does your city hall know of any community events (music, art, crafts, relay for life)  coming up which might be able to use "gophers" (runners) or set up/take down helpers?  Start by calling your church, local elementary school, or mayor's office. They know where the needs are.
