How can I get started in travel writing or similar career that is related to travel?

I am 16 an I have realized how much I love to travel. I haven't gone to many places before,but the thought of traveling excites. I love to watch the Travel Channel and I want to be like those people who go all around the world to observe and record what they experience.How can I get started and make good money at the same time? wHAT skills do i need for success?
