I've always been an average student, mostly b's, a couple of a's, and a c once in awhile. I really want to get straight a's this year. I'm taking a lot of hard classes in 10th grade (pre-calculus, biology honors, world history honors, english 2 honors, web design 1, spanish 2, and orchestra) Does anyone have any tips on how I can ace these classes?

  1. Cut back on the number of classes,

Some drugs help ....if you are dumb enough to try it

  2. For all classes:

-keep a little homework journal and write down any homework assignments at the end of every class.

-set aside at least one hour every day after school to do studying and homework.

-GET A GOOD HIGHLIGHTER to take notes!!

-keep an organized study space and locker.

    For Pre-Cal, Biology, History, English:

-take all the notes you can.

-do the little practice quizzes in your textbooks and workbooks.

-keep a good filing system so that it doesn't matter if a teacher loses a score or you need to look back--it's all right there!

-don't get nervous during tests; if you do, take a little Pepto Bismol or vitamin B12.

    For Web design, Spanish, Orchestra:

-keep your cool--they're electives (or close enough)

-just practice any free time you have.

      -take good notes, once again....

-be nice to your teachers; "electives" teachers are the ones students usually build good relationships with.

Also, it will help your whole school and home experience (and eliviate stress!) if you keep your room clean; I get really gripey when mine isn't. lol

I hope this helps you, and good luck!

  3. Study, study, study... Learn different ways to study efficiently, take good lecture notes, read the required chapters, get a study group, always do your homework on time...

  4. Do your homework. I'm just like you with grades and I usually ace tests, but i always forget to do homework. One 100 and seven 0's will not be an A. Studying is also the way to go.  If you don't do good at tests, I highly recommend studying for a test as soon as you hear about it.  even just 5 min a night for a week can add up.  Also, if you don't understand ANYTHING and i mean anything, ASK YOUR TEACHER! it's their job to see that you learn the material. It's great that you want good grades.  Just apply yourself and you'll do fine! Good luck!!

  5. Pay attention in class, participation in class is also essential. Complete all assignments, do any extra credit projects. Study and be prepared for class everyday. If you follow these guidelines and show your teacher genuine interest and respect, you should be able to accomplish the grades you want. all it takes is dedication to what is important to you, to achieve your goals.

  6. STUDY!
