Question:

How can I get teachers to try a new remedial reading resource?

The resource is at www.geocities.com/carjug. It is a poetry site that has a color code for the vowel sounds of the English language.

It "works" in adults with processing problems, but not in adult dyslexics. Kids like it, and it may "work" better in them as a whole because their brains are still malleable. That's all I know so far.

How do I get teachers to actively and aggressively use this stuff? They always say they are open to new ideas? They always claim to love kids; how do I get them to give my site a bit of EFFORT?

  1. Make sure your site pops up if we search the web for remedial reading resources. As a special education teacher, I will try just about any site that is easy to navigate and interesting to the kids. Word of mouth is also great. We teachers love to share what we know, so if you are close to any teachers, have them try it. I'm sure they will pass the info along.
