How can I get the blonde dye to develop faster?

I just dyed my hair black and am now putting blonde highlights in it. The blonde is taking forever to develop, is there any way to speed it up?

Heat.  Use a hair dryer.  The heat speeds up the process.  Not too hot though and keep checking it.  Good luck

your hair is black, so you have to bleach the parts you want highlighted before you colour. otherwise, you won't be able to see the blond at all.

you have to lift darker colours before you can lighten them. the only way this would work without bleach is if you had naturally darker hair.

colour on top of colour simply doesn't work, unless the colour on top is darker.
