Question:

How can I get the coffee smell out of my coffee cup?

I've tried bleach and baking soda, and putting them in the freezer nothing seems to work.

  1. Sometimes you can't, depending upon the cup (usually insulated), and how old it is, and how much you use it, sometimes it is permanent.  (I have some insulated coffee cups specifically for coffee - because of the smell that sticks with it)


  2. a regular cup? porcelain? in that case, baking soda, a few drops of water, the lemon that was mentioned before, squeeze half a lemon in there, and get to scrubbing. then just let the mess sit for a while. as it does it should help to absorb some of the smell.

    then rinse and air dry. let t sit till next day. then do a sniff check to see if it still smell.  

    repeat if necessary ..

  6. vinegar. or you can put some ice in there and a lot of table salt and swirl it around this will take the stains out for sure and possibly the smell
