How can I get the distance between two points on Earth based solely on their GPS coordinates?

Ok for instance the distance between Bruxelles 50°50′48″N 4°21′9″E and Dublin 53°34'72''N -6°25'92''W.

If you don't have the formula but know a website doing the deed it is just as good.

  2. If you're actually interested in the formula, it's called the "Great Circle Distance".

    Most programs use the Vincenty formula.

  3. enter the coordinates in your gps and then see what the trip says.. it should tell you..

  4. ask the gps how many miles thats the least of wha t there suppose to do.
