  1. I agree with the answer above about the sides of the sod getting dried out.  What we normally do to encourage growth is to spread some top soil in the seams to give the grass roots something to work with and water the lawn as necessary for your area to encourage a healthy lawn.  After about two weeks we also give the sod a light top dressing of fertilizer.  Over time, say a month or so, you should see the seams starting to infill with new growth.

  2. im not sure all below sounds right but what time of day are watering it i i have been told that early am is best !!!!!!!!!!! and a good amount!!

    city or well water????

  3. it sounds like you did not soak and roll your sod when you first layed it. soak it good and back roll the edges so it contacts the next roll tight and seed where it is already dead.good luck.

  4. Keep it well watered until it has taken. If it does not improve toss a little grass seend and seed and sod fertilizer on it.Keep it moist until it has been mowed three times. Moisture is the key so I suspect that the sod got dried out on the sides when it was transported to be planted and not watered well enough to rejuvenate it..
