How can I get the stupid and annoying flash adds to STOP playing on my Internet Explorer?

Some of the ads slow my computer speed down SO much and whenever I try to keep it on low settings it switches right back with the next ad. It's annoying and I'd like them to just disappear. Any ideas what I can do?

Download a pop-up blocker ie Google toolbar or yahoo!! Actually, the pop-ups, probably aren't slowing you down. Are you deleting cookies, temp files, defragmenting,? How about un-needed sent messages? Are you removing programs you don't use? Buy more RAM. 1or 2 G. You can get a 1G RAM chip for 45 bucks. It definitely sounds, to me , like you're lacking Memory.

I would try resetting your IE configuration to it's default state. This will remove all toolbars and problematic plugins. The link below has steps on how to do that. Hope this helps!

I've never had any problems with Firefox and AdBlockPlus

sorry there isn't an Internet Explorer alternative

there should be a preference option that should enable you to desable java content. flash animations are java based so try that.
