Its a bolt that uses a hex key and I've used all my might to get it off. I sprayed WD-40 and still nothing. All the others bolts came off fine. What else can I do?

  1. If you can get to the entire head I have used a hack saw to cut a screwdriver slot in top of the hex head so I could use a large screwdriver or screwdriver attachment on a small ratchet.

They do make hex sockets to get more leverage but a stuck hex bolt is usually stronger than the hex socket so they twist off as well.

It also helps sometimes to hit the hex head with a hammer a couple times before you try to loosen it.

    Good Luck!

  2. Either use a vise grip or one of these:

  3. a hex key as in an internal? then you can find a longer wrench to use on it. Or heat the metal around it. Careful of flamable stuff.
