How can I get this hairstyle? (pix)?

Question

I have long black hair (up to my waist) and I've always wanted to have my hair UP and out of my face without me having to jam my fingers into my hair to make it neat.

Something like these:

...Would I have to put a serum into my hair, or a straightener -even though my hair is pretty straight at times-?

First off GORGEOUS hair (I love them too and Amy Lee)

Secondly for hair pinned up high like the first one you might need hairspray depending on what your hair is like. I would put it in a pony tail and try puffing it out with big clasps. I'm not sure but ask your hairdresser for a good effect. My idea might not work, never tried it, but I hope I helped.

You could put your hair into a half ponytail and use one of these:

http://www.brightoncollections.com/image... flip your ponytail upside downso the tail part is in your face and put the clip around your ponytail near the base. flip your ponytail back and you will have poofy spikes like that. you could use hair spray if your hair is short enough

maybe you should get it cut a little past your shoulders.

after that get side bangs.

put your hair it a high pony tail and make it big.

try straighening serum maybe but i would first just try to do the hairstyle by its self first.

I think you should get your hair cut a little bit. It would be a whole lot easier to manage. If your hair is going to be up and it's already pretty straight, I see no reason why you should have to straighten it.

It's hard to say how to get those exact hair styles since I can't see the back, but I'd just grab it into a high ponytail, clip it back with one of those claw clips and mess it up. Or you could tie it into a messy bun, and add a cute headband.

For some of the hair styles, you should just leave half down, and clip half up with the claw clip. And for that one hair style where Amy's hair is just straight and down, you could straighten it.
