The application also asks for work history, which, of coarse, i don't have. I babysat a few years back, but don't have phone numbers anymore T.T please help, i really need a job D= and my friend works at A&W so i thought it'd be cool to work at the same place...... ^^ thanks in advance everyone, i'm 15 btw lol

  1. -You can also use neighbors or maybe even parents of your friends, if they know you well.

-Do you belong to any youth groups, sports or other clubs? You could find an adult that knows you well there.

A&W will understand it's your first job and will be understanding of your references.

  2. If you have no references as it would be your first job, then you do not need to name any. However, this may result in A&W hiring someone who has worked before.

Have you done work experience? As you can name that as a previous job, especially if you done well.

  3. its frggin A&W shut up take my order and s***w it up cause u suk at life and can only get a job at A&W

  4. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I am sure A&W will appreciate this. I would put your babysitting down on your CV though, and have you done any work experience for school? just because that would be good to put down on your cv too. I would still put a teacher down for a reference even though it is summer, just to fill the gap...they never really use references anyway, you just have to impress in the interview. Be confident, polite and enthusiastic...and I am sure you will get the job :) xx

  5. State you believe you would be a good candidate because you are coming into the job with a fresh mind without errors in training or bad habits from a previous job and you are more qualified to be trained how this particular company wants you to work.

  6. Hi Rukia!

Well I'm not too sure about this, but I asked some people and they said make sure that you include on your resum'e or in your interview, what after school programmes, clubs, things you've participated in and any work experience what so ever (even if it was working in the office at school, we do that here..or working for parents!)

People hiring others, want to know that your someone who's willing to take on anything, and who's enthusiastic about getting up off their butt and helping out to earn some cash.

if you get good grades at school, make sure you include this and try not to talk about random things too much on your resum'e, keep it straight to the point.

Oh and you mentioned you've baby sat before,

mention how old these kids were, how long you did it for, why you quit (if you quit?)...maybe it was just not for you, but atleast you tried it (remember that's the goal, pointing out what you've tried!), also make an effort to show you're responsible, thats why you baby sat.

  7. in my state (nevada) people aren't allowed to be hired until they're 16... anyway, just put n/a in work history, and ask your rents about it, mom or dad will have friends that know you, and would vouch for you. or a friends rents.

  8. do you have any thing that sets you apart from the herd? cpr training, habla espanyol.

  9. What i did on my CV was wrote the teachers names and the numbers of the school down so that you at least have given them the chance to get in touch and get a reference!

  10. Just say it's your first job, everyone has to do it at some point. Put down your friends parents, or (if your religous) your pastor/whatever you call it. They'll understand.

  11. if your 15, you dont really need to worry, just tell them its your first job.. it could also help to ask around family friends and friends you have, because they could possibly hire you with a good job.
