How can I get tickets to a sold out show?

Sigur Ros is playing in Toronto's Massey Hall Sept 22nd and its sold out :'( Does anyone have any advice on ways to get my hands on some tickets!

Go to the hall and get them from a scalper.

A lot of ticket resell places like stubhub.com, tickettriangle.com, and ticketauthority.com buy large sets of tickets to shows which they resell for up to twice the original price, maybe more.  It can be a very expensive option.

Scalpers could be around, depending on Toronto's scalping laws.  You will also shell out a large sum to these people.  

You will most definitely find some tickets on sale on craigslist.  Sometimes it's scalpers and sometimes its people who just can't go.  They generally ask a lot as well.

Another option you have is to call ahead to the venue and ask if they have any tickets left.  Sometimes venues reserve extra tickets for groups and they find out last minute that they do not need so many or what have you.  You could also ask them if they sell leftover tickets to people right before the show, meaning you could have a chance if you are willing to wait outside the venue earlier that day.

If ticketmaster is sold out you will need to go to one of the after market ticket resellers like ebay, stubhub, razorgator, etc..

Craigslist could be your friend here as well, although the don't provide any guarantees.

if you go to the toronto massey hall like an hour or more before the concert starts there may be some people that bought tickets and no longer want them, so they will be selling them at the door to random people who didn't get tickets, i think they're called scalpers, not really sure, and i don't live anywheres near toronto, but i still live in canada, thats just what they do at the venue i normally go to
