  1. well you have a few routes, one would cost $2.25 (or 3.50 if you are returning the same day to UCLA)

for this route you would catch a Santa Monica Bus #1 in Westwood (or Hilgrard) when you board the #1 bus tell the

driver you would like a express day pass (which will cost you $3.50) the operator will issue you a day pass then you take

the #1 to Bundy and Santa Monica, and transfer to the Santa Monica #10 bus into downtown Los Angeles

and the #10 last stop is union staton

another routing would be take the either Santa Monica

1,8,12 to Santa Monica and Westwood pay the operator

$1.25 ask for a transfer then board the Metro 704 bus

which will take directly to Union station

  2. Go to http://www.metro.net/default.asp and type in "UCLA" and "Union Station".  It will ask you to choose between Ackerman Station and Hilgard Station, and then tell you which bus according to which station you want to leave from.
