I have physical education and my class is first thing in the morning, how can I get used to the cold pool? I shiver and try to keep swimming but I can't get warm (I'm really skinny).

  1. Being skinny ain't got nothing to do with it because even those with a little bit of meat on their bones have problems with getting cold like that!

Just get in slowly so you don't shock yourself!  Or if you're at the stage where your coach/teacher allows you to jump in, go for it.

  2. try to jump up and down really fast, that helps me, or use cold water for every day things like showering and washing your hands, that might help (:

  3. Take some cold showers and then jump in the pool. if you go in slowly, you might chicken out and you will be cold. jump right it and you won't be as cold

  4. Swim faster, you will get warmer becasue you sweat

  5. Use the scottish surfing trick, p**s yourself. It helps!

  6. Take it for someone who's been swimming for over 10 years - the easiest way is to just cannonball in. That way your entire body gets cold at once, so its not as noticeable. It's the worst when part of your body is cold, and part is warm, because the cold part seems so much colder.

  7. ok ummm before jumping in try to feel the water ya kno and maybe take some cold showers or baths and then you should get used to it thats how i got used to cold water
