How can I gian speed quick.?

I am 6'2 and I run a 5.1-5.2 . I want to play wr next year but right now I am too slow.what are some good work outs to gain speed.

  1. You're going to want to build fast fiber muscle tissues--I believe that's what they're called.... By doing that, you're going to have to practice a lot of sprinting and make sure the lactic acid (what causes muscles to hurt after strenuous exercising) kicks in.

    If your muscles are getting sore from sprinting, that is a good sign, which indicates that you're building fast muscles and you need these fast muscles to be able to sprint. Also, the more you practice, the more lactate threshold you build, which means you'll be able to sprint longer and faster without the lactic acid coming in.  


  2. If theres a track and field team that you can join that would be great, iv'e been in track and field for 4 years now and im a starter RB for my senior varsity team.. The basics are stretching to build flexibility on your lower body to have the correct mechanics when sprinting/running

    Reaction time is also a key to quickness, if you cant move on time then your better off not moving at all. You gotta act quickly and maneuver quickly and the only way i accomplished this was through basic stretching techniques

  3. The fastest way would be to shove a rocket engine up your a$$.

  4. Squats, Power Cleans..... running hills.... also work on pop up sprints.
