  7. If you use either of the WINDOWS operating systems, all of your website visits are recorded in a file, called 'cache' or 'cookies'.  -  Windows stores these records so that each time you re-visit those websites, it should load faster.

(I use Windows XP) - In XP, from the toolbar (commonly on top) you click on the word "Tools." This pulls down a list of options.  Click on "Internet Options."

This will open a window that will allow you to clear your "Temporary Internet files."

Simply click on the button "DELETE FILES.

WHALAH! -  That did it!  :-)

Clicking on DELETE COOKIES will also help keep your operating system running faster, by cleaning out this folder of "tags" so those websites can identify your visit.

  8. In Internet Explorer go to Tools -> Internet Options

There is a button there to delete history.

  9. If you don't feel sweeping your PC (using a program like ccleaner to erase c**p files and folders) You have to go to your temparary folder.  You can delete the files there or from your cookies folder.  You'd be surprised how much space gets used from those two.  You can also change the history on your internet so that the pages are only saved for a few days, or never at all.

  10. Go to tools on your browser

click on it..choose Internet options.. click on that and a window will open..

In the middle you will see Temp Internet files

Click on delete files.. click yes when it ask you to delete them.

Then below that you will see History

You can have it emptied daily or whenever you choose on this but you can do it now by clicking clear history..

answer yes and then all the websites you visited will be removed..

This is called clearing your cache and should be done daily.. well I do anyway as it can slow down your computer..

  17. Follow this menu path in Internet Explorer:

    Tools --> Internet Options

On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button.  If you also want to get rid of any offline web pages, check the Delete all offline content box and click OK.

You can manage the amount of space IE uses to store these files by clicking on the Settings button (in the same section on the General tab) and adjust the amount of disk space used for this.
