How can I go about doing a student exchange to America?

Im 17 and English but live in Spain. How would I go about finding a student to exchange with so that i can stay with his/her family and attend their school etc

  1. There are agencies that do that, you might want to ask over there. They have many programs and stuff, just ask at your school.

    Yahoo! search would yield more agencies. I don't know of any that actually *exchange* students.

  3. You would need to contact an exchange student organization. They handle all of the "work" after that! They will find you a school, family, etc. THey also arrange your flights, insurance, orientations, etc.

    I know that the following operate in Spain as well as in the U.S. and are on the CSIET list (certified).

    AFS, Aspect Foundation, Rotary, YFU.

    They are all respected and reliable all over the U.S.

    You might also look at http://www.exchangestudentworld.com/ for ideas and info too. It's an on line community of exchange students.
