I was admitted to the university of miami, and I got less than a 29 on the act (the minimum for receiveing scholarships). Everything else exceeds the criteria. Is there anyone to speak to, or anything to do? This is my #1 college choice. If other schools have offered money, and if time passes, does the University sometimes "make deals?"

Has anyone had experience with this with Umiami? Is there anyone specific who I can try writing to? Thanks!

  1. Are you in the state of Florida? If so, those scores would indicate you would qualify for Florida Bright Futures which will offset some of the costs of UM. UM is private though, and they won't pay the full 75-100% tution that Bright Futures covers at a public university. But, it will pay 75-100% of the equivalent amount of a public university depending on other funding.
