  1. You could speak to a lawyer to see if there is a basis for getting an injunction from a judge to stop the sale.

  2. That is a tough one. You need to find a good lawyer and fast. I saw a segment about this on the news. You're gonna have a tough legal battle on your hands so be prepared. I wish you the best of luck

  3. That's a tough one Sweetie.  You'll need an attorney and since I can't see where the attorney could make money on this case I don't think you'll find one willing to work Pro Bono.

    Good luck.

    H

  4. I'd be looking at firing the chairman as he has not honored your uncle's wishes. find you a political figure who is pro gun/pro hunting, and solicit his support. get in contact with the NRA too

  5. I think you need to hire a lawyer and file an injunction for starters.

I live in OK and am watching this story with keen interest. Seems the last audit showed about 125 guns missing from the collection

  6. If the sale was legal and there was not a specifically worded prohibition on selling the collection

The State owns the guns outright and has the right to dispose of them as it sees fit

At this point all you can do is raise community awareness of what is happening and try to enlist the aide of a pro gun politician and the NRA to help force them to reconsider through PR pressure

After doing a little research, that I should have done before answering, I'm finding that your info is faulty

The state leased the collection from the foundation, it did not buy it from Jim Davis

The collection is legally owned by the Jim Davis Foundation who want to sell it off

They will have to prove that the state breached the lease agreement
