I live in Argentina, but I work for a HUGE american company. I'd love to work in the US. I have plenty of experience on the job. What should I do?

  1. Transfer with your company. I thought Argentinians hated America? Or is that just the Pres of Argnetina hates Bush?

    Seriously- very curious.

Thank sfor the added info. I figured the true aggression towards America was at her politicians, not her people.

  2. There are several types of visas into the U.S., but since your question focused on work, I'll address that. Many people are under the mistaken impression that they can initiate the paperwork, etc. to allow a move to the U.S. It doesn't work that way. You have to find a job in the U.S., whether that's with your current employer or another employer, that's willing to sponsor you on an H1-B visa. Step 1 - Find the sponsor. The rest is just logistics.

  3. Apply for a work visa and wait.
