  1. There are different way to avoid high scholarships. The problems to give you advices is that it all depends of the school you're looking for. Some schools have their own grants, some help you to fill the form and have government grants. The better way, as I've done, is to go and ask in the school you want to study. They know better than anyone how they can help you. Well as long as they want you in!

Look at that page about Scholarships, i hope it helps you: http://collegescholarships.tipsadvices.i...

  2. If you don't want to work, you will have to take loans.  If you don't want to graduate with a lot of debt, you will have to work.

There is a possibility (if you have very good grades, etc.) that you may get enough scholarship money to not have to either work or take loans.  But, that is the exception and not the rule.

    Good luck.

  3. Apply for a Subsidized loan.  This way you won't have to pay until after you graduate.  It only pays by semester so you might have to get a part time job to support yourself.
