How can I go from a redhead back to a brunette?

I have been coloring my hair deep shades of red, like Pravana 4 shades, now I am really wanting to go back to my 'natural' shade of dark brown, but everytime I color it, it seems to stay the same shade.

I am wanting to get this shade http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-59634452577475_2014_8500062

So, do I used a demi or a low volume, since I don't need to lift the color, because I am wanting to go darker?

Also, I go green if I use Ash, so is neutral the next best option?

I have access to salon brands and store bought brands...thanks!!!

  1. If your hair is reddish you will not go green with ash shades.  The dark ash browns will neutralize the red in your hair.

  2. the best advice i can give you is to go ahead and go to a salon to get it done.

  3. Go to a hair stylist and ask to get yer hair done dark brown.

  4. It might not take since you have red hair, if you want to try buying a box of die leave it in longer than 30 minutes, but if this doesn't work buy a box of bleach, beach your hair then dye your hair that color and it should take, but your best option is go to the salon because when you ask for a dark brown, you will get a dark brown if you do it your self, you might mess your hair up into a color you might not like, so you're best best is go to the salon.

  5. i did this last year i was a redhead for like 4years then i went back to a chocolate brown, slightly darker than my natural hair color.

Go to a salon so they can do it for you- i had no probs with mine at all.

  6. dye it
