How can I go to tenth grade

Question

I failed ninth grade.

They are making me repeat it.

I will NOT repeat a grade just because I can't stay on task and pay attention like the other kids and my grades aren't as great.

I TRIED to make my way through it.

They are pretty much telling me that I have to be the laughing stalk of the whole school; and that I pretty much have to leave ALL my friends behind.

Uh huh, yea NO.

Should I have my dad argue it out or should I just... UGH.

What can I do?

And no, I am not some little lazy slacking kid that deserves to fail. So please don't make me feel worse by saying that I deserve this and I have to do it. I have problems, and the school knows I have problems.

I will take as MANY classes in 10th as I have to get through this. But, how do I get it through their heads that I don't deserve this and that they should give me another chance?

Take the main classes you need first, also take on the classes you have to have to pass 9th grade.  Then instead of things like art or band for electives pick up a couple of the 10th grade classes.

um start an amazing band, get rich, buy the school, fire the employees, and run things your way =)

Listen, I know it's tough to repeat a grade.  I had to repeat 7th grade, not because I was lazy either, but because I missed a lot of school.  I made new friends, no one teased me because I stayed back. If they are telling you that you are a laughing stock, then they are the ignorant ones, not you.  Who the heck is saying that.  I hope not the school.  If you want to complete what you failed, then Summer school is a good option.  My grandson failed his class this year and he is supposed to begin Junior High.  He is currently in Summer school and he loves it.  OH, I may have repeated 7 th grade, but I went on to be an honor student in Colledge.  Staying back is not an indication of stupidity, which you are not.  You are just having a difficult time.  Many have been there, believe me.  Somtimes going on to another grade even though you had a hard time in the last grade, will make things even harder for you in the 10th grade.  I wish I could say something to make you feel better about yourself.  Just know, YOU ARE NOT STUPID OR LAZY.  Try Summer school.  I wish you the best.

Edit; I just saw where you wrote they don't have summer shool in your area?  Wow, that is weird.  Another option you have, if your parents are willing to pay for it, is the Slyvan school of learning.  They will personlly tutor you one on one with any subject you had difficulty in.  They really are fantastic.  My granddaughter went to them and she did great.

there are classes you can take online.

and i dont know where you live but in my school there are 6 periods but for the kids who failed you can take 0 and 7 th period to make up classes so you should just ask.
