How can I group vector art in illustrator? I bought art and it was already un-grouped, so I can't change it

I haven't been working with illustrator long or any graphic art programs. I haven't had any classes. I do silk screening and so far I have been able to color separate all the vector art I get, however I can not figure out how to regroup something that I received ungrouped.

Select the elements you want grouped.

Group command:

Alt-G on a PC

Command-G on a Mac
