How can I grow quenepas in florida?

I have the quenepa fruit and i'm saving the seed, what do I have to do to make this fruit grow here in central florida?

  1. Central Florida might be pushing it in terms of cold weather, but Canepas can be grown from seed.   I bought a tree for my mother-in-law, who relishes the fruit. The slow-growing aspect of the cultural recommendations is true; though the tree has only received average care, it has only grown 3 or 4 feet in 3 years.  The tropical fruit nurseryman who sold me the tree says they are very cold sensitive; much more so than lychees (to which they are related).  

    Having said all of that, I would plant some seeds and give them a try.  Any good potting soil should do, and keep the soil warm and moist.  Good luck.
