How can i harden and condition my knuckes without getting athritis? I live in a rough neighbor hood, and i almost got jumped. I dont want to carry a gun or knife or any sort of weapon, we already have enough of that here. How can i harden my knuckles and make my punch harder (im already strong, but like any specific exercises)

  1. knuckle push ups bro. Use the knuckles of your index and middle finger only, and don't put any carpet or towel under them. Without getting arthritis?? Good luck...

Harder punches = plyo exercises. Push ups where you clap your hands before landing back. If you good you can clap your hands in front of you and behind your back before you land.

But consider that in a bare knuckle fight, you can just as easily break your hand in the silliest of punches. Use the palm of your hand when you punch, use your elbows. Avoid punching with a fist.

Avoid a fight altogether = if in your neighborhood you got guns n knifes, you don't want to go punching your way about any argument.

  2. what the guy said below, knuckle pushups, hit the bags, pivot your feet for more power on each punch, hips to.

When you do knuckle pushups or any knuckle workout, drink a lot of calcium such as milk to rebuild your bones and make them harder.

I never broke one bone since i was born, i don't know if a jammed finger counts but that's it.

Drink your milk dude, also there's a lot more to fighting than just punching, do elbows, head butts, knees, palm strikes, etc.
