Do you believe that Jesus is God?

Do you believe that you are saved by faith alone in the truth that Jesus died for your sins on the cross and rose from the dead?  That believing this alone saves you, and that salvation is a free gift?

You must believe these two things to be saved and have a relationship with the Lord.  After this, spend a lot of time reading the Bible, and you will be strong with Him and close to Him!  :)

Stop listening to what other people tell you about God and just get to know what and who God is yourself. It's like when a women looks at a man, she sees him as what she wants to see, and doesn't get to know who he really is. Preconceived notions of anyone is wrong and limiting to a relationship.

Just pray. Don't do things just because other Christians say you have to. Figure out who God is to you.

Do you have Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, that is definitely needed for a personal relationship with God.

I would start by reading the Gospel of John in the Bible. While reading, ask God to draw close and speak to you.
