How can I have a wireless connection so that my Xbox 360 does not have to be by my computer.

Question

At the moment, I have a wireless router connected to my modem, computer and Xbox. This means that my console has to be near to my computer. However, I want to be able to move my console on to a different floor in the house and still have my Xbox 360s ethernet connected to my wireless router, but have a wireless connection from the router to the modem/computer. How is this possible without the need to buy an Xbox 360 wireless adapter?

use a wireless adapter, it has to be a special xbox 360 one which you can get on ebay for around £30.00

You can use your Wifi enabled laptop.

1 CONNECT the xbox to your laptop via the ethernet

2 NOW go to network setting and locate the connection between the       laptop and Wifi

3 left click > properties> sharing tab> Click allow Others to connect to internet via computer etc.

You have to buy a wireless router for your 360 and put the settings in, although it costs around 60 pound so is it really worth it?

O and there is a way to do it through a laptop, but if you don't have one then thats your only option

It amazes me how even the most tech savy people do not know about this technology called powerline.  Anybody who tells you that wireless and a longer ethernet cable are the only way to go without re-wiring finished wall and ceiling work is wrong.  I can prove that to you right here;

Powerline is usually more expensive, but not when it comes to the xbox 360's network adapter.  This product is actually $8 cheaper.  Plus you will get a much more reliable connection.
