First day of High School is in a week, and I need some tips for my hair. I have HUGE thick hair. And when I say, thick, I mean YOKO ONO Thick. I literallyy have the biggest hair in my town. It is broken and damaged, so I usually just wear it in a HUGE Ponytail or braids or something. It has curls and waves and frizz galore. I've asked my mom to take me to get it cut or atleast thinned, but she always tells me she likes my poofy hair and many people would kill to have that much hair. I've bought ENDLESS amounts of products claming to help me, but nothing works. PLEASE HELP ME!!

  1. First use queen helene choloesterol treatment in your hair you be suprized by the results. Then get you self some hard plastic hair rollers and metal prong clips. Roll your hair up and blow dry it. if you dont have to go anywhere you can even sleep with the rollers in (the first time i did this it took for ever but by the thrid time i got all the rollers in in like 20 min and that was doing it myself dont give up). Floding a pillow in half and putting it right under your neck above your shoulder with help you sleep with these things on your head. Also, keep in mind the curls are going to be a lil bigger than the size of the roller you choose so choose a size thats a lil smaller than than what you want. You'll need to part your hair one roller at a time start by makeing a part about where your bang would be about the width of the roller and not to wide (so the hair will dry) from the front of your head (bang) to the back Back of neck) depending on the size of the rollers you shoud have six to eight rollers. now for the side you want to start from the bottom up tucking your finger behind your ear and pushing the part straight back to meet the roller in the mid sectionthen part whats left in half and two or three rollers should be able to hold each half total you'll need about 16-20 rollers. Depending on how dry or oily your hair is is apply a small amount or your moisturizer to your wet hair and comb it through before rolling. If your dont have a sit down hair dryer a blowdryer is ok. The longer you hold the blow dryer on the curls the better. Your hair must be COMPLETELY dry before you remove the rollers in order for this to work properly. You will also need a flat iron for after you take the rollers out to touch up your roots. You can get rollers and clips pretty cheap at any beauty supply store. Oh and dont forget you'll need a nice scarf to wrap your hair in one you have the rollers i usually use one that kind of looks like a net. Good luck dear.

  2. Well what i would do is go to the salon and ask them the same question! maybe they could do some loose curls at the end of your hair ..or maybe even put a relaxer on it to make it straight!!!

good luck..i have thick hair also

  3. ok well i know how u feel, thats exactly how my hair is, if its damaged go out and buy some moisturizing shampoo and cut off ur split ends at least once a month to keep it healthy. My hair gets really frizzy so wut i use that works pretty good is suave mouse, n they have it in different levels, i use 9. Put that all over. Or u cud always straighten ur hair if u have the time. It wud have to be a really good straightener too, not one that u buy at the 99 cent store or something. It usually takes me 2 hours to straighten mine, but ya, like i said, if u have the time.

  4. Actually not that much people like poofy hair. The new style is thin straight.I have the same thing poofy thick frizzy hair.Your mom just doesnt want you to have nice straight hair.

  5. get a perm

  6. I have exactly the same problem what I did was I went to the hairdresser and brought a picture of a hair style that was shorter then mine and he cut it and then I bought a hair dryer litterally a thing you sit under with hair curlers and it takes me like 2 hours under 1 hour to get it preped and some time after that but it pays off in the long run - you have to pay to be beautiful

  7. well i have curly hair and what you do to make it beautiful and curly is you get it soaking wet, then you put mousse in it, and then you diffuze it until its totally dry and then spray it with alot of hairspray and style it however you want but then your all set! :) hope it works.

  8. Well obviously you would go to the hair-dressers or you do it yourself! der...

  9. My hair is exactly like the way you described, so my advice will prolly help u out the most. first of all, its easier to deal with hair when its not wet, so i recommend showering at night and styling in the morning, so all your frizz is gone. then put either leave-in conditioning cream or mousse in your hair. then curl your hair in big pieces with revlon perfect heat nano ceramic curling iron from target ($13). it works so well! it heats up in literally 30 seconds and you only have to keeping the iron in your hair for 5-10 seconds a curl. definitely buy it!

  10. Ok... lets get down to business hun.

1st you might want to re-hydrate your hair this can be done with

Herbal Essences " hello hydration" shampoo & conditioner .

now what I do is leave the conditioner on for like 10 before I rinse it of.

after showering towel dry your hear like 80% at that moment apply any kind of hair polisher ( I use smooth&shine polishing) after that blow dry your hair when your done with that flat iron it even straighter ( I know this might seem like it is causing more damage but the truth is it's not! :)

the polisher is taking the "heat punch" for your hair pretty cool huh? :)

any whos  you want your curling iron to be super duper hot the by dividing your hair in to sections grab smaller sections and curl(hold the curling iron in place for 15 seconds after each curl is done spray a small amount of Hair net hair spray and in no time BOOM! you have s**y curls, good luck to you hun :)
