There is a local restaurant here that I recommend...  They serve Yala corn and Yala jello, and just about everything is Yala.  And besides the color of the food, it tastes delicious too!

They call it Mellow Yala

WELL YALA CAN BE FULL OF FUN DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ARE WANTING , , THE SHOPS WHEN I WAS THEIR WERE NOT TO BAD ,  HAVE TO TELL YOU  THAT YALA WAS NOT A VERY CLEAN PLACE , BUT I AM SURE NOW IT HAS CHANGED ,  WHAT WITH JUST BEING ON THE BOARDER WITH MALAYSIA  ,  I THINK ONE WOULD HAVE TO MAKE THEIR OWN FUN IN YALA , OR IF YOU HAD A PARTNER , YOU WOULD HAVE MORE FUN , .   SMILE

Its a college town so make sure you stay close to it. Don't leave Yala if you do you might get mugged. Luckily the train can take you NYC in about an hour and half..Oh wait Yala not Yale Doh Try hiring a 18 year old pool boy.
