  1. There are oil control treatments you can put under your makeup, it's sort of like a lotion. Also using bare minerals as foundation and oil absoring sheets works well. The mineral powder foundation absorbs some ofvthe oil without running or melting or getting blotchy. Using the oil absorbing sheets will remove the shine while keeping your makeup intact. You can buy clean and clear ones at the drug store order packs from eyeslipsface.com. I haven't tried the kind from elf yet, but I have a pack of them on the way right now. I know the clean and clear ones are really good.

  2. have it tattooed on

  3. I would advise some oil-free lotion.  Your skin produces oil because it is dry, so if you use lotion, it won't produce as much oil!  Put it on often, after washing, and right before you put on foundation!  I also have oily skin, and I know what you mean.  You should bring compacted powder with you wherever you go, just in case you need some!

    Good luck!

  4. you should get some make up from sephora, most of their stuff are long lasting...other than that you can try to put a thin/light coat of lotion if your using power....works good with eyeshadow...try it and experiment...you'll see what i mean

  5. you should use a base or a primer! sephorrraa has manyy. you should also set your makeup with a powder after so it will stay and not look oily (:

  6. mee too! I have the same problem. Like before I leave the house, it looks really good, but then a few hours later, the color looks like it has faded. I have oily type skin as well. I bought a really good primer for my face called smashbox. It is expensive in store, but if you buy it like on ebay, then it is half the price for what you get in the store. You can get one application from a  very small amount of primer, like the size of a ungrinded pepper. And this primer makes my makeup lasts until night time. Sometimes, I don't evenw ant to take my make up before bed because it still looks good.

But if you are looking for a lower price range primer, there are also a lot of good ones too. Stores like at ULTA sells them. =)

  7. Try using products that don't have tooooo much oil in them. I use oil control lotion by MAC cosmetics. I also use a powder by Meow cosmetics to help control my oil during the day. I find that this helps. You should also try to buy blotting papers to blot your face every few hours to remove excess oil.

  8. Always use a light moisturizer first, and blend it with water if needed to make it even lighter.  Let it dry before using face makeup.  Put that on and tissue off excess but make sure you blend it well all over down to your collar bone and even further depending on the dress.

Then use a powder compact (pressed powder) to smooth all over the eye area.  This will help "set" your eye makeup.  Always use powder eyeliner and when done, then use a lighter loose powder with a big brush to set the makeup even more.

You can do the same thing with lipstick and then use your lipliner and then lipstick (the long lasting kind) and your makeup should last all night.

If it's at night, you can put on makeup alittle heavier and use darker lipstick as well.  Have fun!

  9. I have oily skin and this is what I do:

    1 Moisturise

    2 Then apply primer

3 Apply foundation - (please note that the oil in your skin tends to change the pigment in the foundation and make it appear darker after a while, so make sure you are wearing the correct shade, when you go to a makeup counter, try on 3 different shades (in stripes) that are the closest shade to your skin, wait as the oil in your skin changes the pigment in the foundation, then choose the correct shade)

4 Apply concealer to my lids and other areas.

5 Blot with blotting paper or tissue paper

6 Set the make-up with LOOSE Powder, Powder is the key and gives your makeup staying power and gets rid of shine.  (take a compact of pressed powder with you to touch up during the night)

GOOD luck, there are anti-shine creams that you can purchase.  You apply the cream before you do your foundation.  They can be quite pricey though.

  10. You can use bases or primers.

    They help out a lot.

    hope this helped.

  11. Increasing the longevity of the makeup from oily skin has only one way.

    OIL CONTROL.

From what you said, I presume your skin can get super oily during the summer.

To make the makeup last longer,

    1) use a alcohol free toner and massage it on your skin using your fingers. This will soften and prep the skin out for moisturiser.

    2) use an OIL CONTROL moisturiser across the whole face for prolong oil absorbing capability.

    3) use a MATTIFYING makeup base/primer and apply it on the oiler bigger pore Tzone area.

    4) use a mattifying foundation (like MAC's Studio Fix Fluid) to EVEN out the skin colour. Excess foundation will not make the makeup stay longer

    5) using a sheer super oil absorbing powder (like MAC Blot Powder/Looseor Glomineral's Prefecting makeup) you will see the makeup lasting longer.
