How can I help animals in the streets?

My friend ivited me to a trip to her home in Cuba, so I went. In the streets everywhere were dogs and cats searching for food in trash cans and lying down anywhere. Even german shepards with such coats and the heat they had there.

How can I help them?

You could provide them food cut their fur so they won't be so hot.

I can't see how you can help them unless you actually lived there. If you are interested in helping animals anywhere in general, then volunteer at the humane society or other shelters, or train to work in Animal Rescue. If you want to help the animals in Cuba, then if you're rich you can try and open up some kind of a large sanctuary.

I took home a cat on the street.

In case you think that the animal has rabies, leave it outside and play with it. It will think that you are it's owner. Leave plenty of food. If you like it, Bring it to a vet and get the animal a shot.

here we have shelters that will rescue the abandoned animals A.R.K...They are always looking for volunteers. If you have a yard you could rescue one and take care of it until they find a home for it..I have a dog rescued from the pound and you would not believe how much appreciation that dog shows me..She loves me and only me.Actually i have 2. The other one is sweet as a baby..

Thats so sad. I have no idea how you could help though. There are too many. Is there not any kind of shelters there?

There is an active ASPCA in Cuba. They do a good job but need funds. You can fund raise for them to help more animals.
