My girlfriend moved in with me and my cat in our SMALL studio and she wants to bring her cat over as well. The problem is that my cat is a nut job... she attacks my girlfriend and every time she sees another cat she hisses and runs under the bed. I just don't know if bringing another cat into the picture would be the best thing for my cat. any ideas?

  1. That is a normal cat reaction to somebody intruding on it's territory. Let the cats work out their own space in the apartment and make sure to put the new cats litter box in a separate space and it's food to if needed.

  3. keep them separated at first, like the new kitty in the bathroom.  let them smell each other and swat underneath the door for awhile. start letting the new kitty stay out and interact with your cat more and more each day and let them get used to each other.  all kitties react like meanies at first.  they should be perfectly fine!
