Question:

How can I help my kitten not shed as much?

She's precious, but she sheds sooo much. When we first got her in April, she had really short, fine hair. Now it's long and fine. But it sheds all the time. I brush her everyday & there is usually enough hair to fill the brush about 3 times (a wire brush). I also comb her with the "Bamboo" undercoat removing comb about once a week (says not to use it more than that). She's very prissy and is always cleaning herself. She drinks plenty of water. She eats Purina One hard kitten food and loves it. We've tried wet food too, but it didn't help any. She's 6 months old.

I have to vacuum every day. We have to buy the expensive air filters b/c she sheds so much. She already shed her "kitten coat" and she's indoors only. I have to vacuum off the couch cushions and I might as well buy stock in lint rollers. Help!

  1. FIRST HAVE HER SPAYED...

instead of lint rollers just try good old fasoned tape... cheaper.

You can get a comb that has a razor in it ... this will cut the fur.

Cats shead 2x a year... after winter when it starts to get warm and

    after summer...

so it's something you are going to have to deal with.

My long haired cat leaves clumps of hair all over the carpet which is dark green so it shows up completely!

give her supplements might help SOME.

    GOOD LUCK
