How can I help my sister with dyslexia?

She wants to go to college but has no confidence in herself because she has dyslexia. She has no Ged and thinks she could not pass the test.... I feel so bad for her. what can I do???

  1. I know several people with dyslexia who are in college. It's not impossible. Many colleges now also offer extra educational support such as tutors and notetakers for students with LDs.

    Look and see if they offer extended time for the GED test for students with LD. If not...she might as well try it anyway. It doesn't hurt to try.

    Once she does pass, if she becomes aware of her options she may make the decision to go to college. That's up to her.
