I'm currently in college majoring in fire technology and I am going to be a firefighter, but what I want to know is how can I volunteer myself to go up north to help? I live in southern california, and I am more than willing to go up north. Please and thanks!

  1. hey, try this.

  2. You could call your local Cal Fire office and ask them.  Although some of the fires are federal incidents, Cal Fire typically has staff at federal incidents in addition to the state incidents.

  3. Try calling your California Dept. of Forestry in your area and ask them if you can volunteer.  I am in Oregon (The Rogue Valley)  and we are getting all the smoke from their fires.  Hope they get it under control soon.  Good luck on your mission.
