I've been doing muay thai for a little over 2 years now. Unfortunately, throughout my training, I just seem to be afraid of being hit. Whether it be a punch, kick, or elbow; I just seem to flinch a little. I'm sorta becoming desperate here lol, but is there anything I can do to overcome this fear? I hate it and can't stand it anymore.

  1. Have you ever sparred? That's how you get over fear of getting hit: You get hit.

  2. let me swing a wild haymaker at you swad

  3. Having the fear of being hit is natural try having someone light spar with you and making contact then your fear should lesson sadly in full contact sports as muay thai, kickboxing and boxing that's a reality but it can be over come, continue training and accept you may be hit but also that you can land a devastating blow also :)***

  4. If you've been doin Muay Thai for two years and you're terrified of being struck, you're either not being trained properly or you're not training seriously. Either way, you gotta change that by diggin in yourself and facing yourself down. Becuase honestly, you're defeating yourself here. The answer should be common sense - face your fear or it's gonna rule you for the rest of your life, and unless you're okay with being a horse for a king instead of the king, you'd better get going on that, cause it's only gonna get harder.
