  1. DO you mean how do you legally take them out of public school?  Or what curriculum to buy?

I have homeschooled for years and I make my own curriculum as we go along.  Look online, there are lots of boxed sets of curriculum, online classes, local groups, discussion boards.  Everything!

    Good luck :)

  2. I'm slightly confused by your ???. Do you already homeschool or are they in Public??

Either way, check the bottom area for some sites that should help.

Just remember that you need to do YOUR homework in order to help them with theirs and I talk from experience as I have a 9yr old that I have to stay 5 steps ahead of and I homeschool.

If you don't know the answer, be honest and tell them you don't know but you can learn the answer TOGETHER.

Also remember that everyday chores and activities can help in the learning ( cooking=math/science;grocery shopping=reading, math, problem solving; yard or house work=science, problem solving, math, reading). So see even if they are in Public/Private, they learn from you everyday.

Here are those sites I promised:

    krampf.com (science)

    totallyfreemath.com

    purplemath.com

    mathmax.com

    innerbody.com (science biology)

    craftynoodle.com (art)

    obdk.com (science)

    escapefromknab.com (intergalactic math game)

    multiplication.com

    funology.com (science)

    learningplanet.com

    freeworksheets.com

    ftexploring.com (science)

I think that should hold you for a while :)

  3. There are tons of different curriculums online.  Just search until you find the one you like.  The great thing about homeschooling, is that you can get up later and be finished earlier.  Usually with litte homework on the kids side.  I was homeschooled & we always had to be up and start school by 9 or 10, and we'd be finished by early afternoon.  Just make sure that you're kids are involved in extra curricular activities.  Basball, 4-H, activities at the YMCA.  Whatever it may be.  Get them out with other gets so they don't end up so sheltered!  Good luck!  :D

  4. well try to arrange ur time, get two or three hours for them, to help them at homework, ask them about their school and teachers, and what's the problems they're facing and solve it..
