How can I hook up an adcom 565 power amp just to see if it is working with a cheap set of speakers?

I picked up a great deal at an auction for an adcom 565 power amp. I don't use these expensive amps and want to know how I can hook it up to an inexpensive receiver and speakers to see if it will work right

It should be pretty easy...you will use rca cables to connect the "pre out" or "tape out" from the receiver to the line inputs on the amp.  The speakers would just wire to the two speaker outputs on the amp.

Remember that your receiver's tape output is not controlled by your volume control so it will be at full volume.  You will need to control the volume with the amps volume controls if it has them.
