How can I identify the Live wire going to my fuse box from my electricity meter UK?

I'm fitting a energy monitor and have to clip the sensor to the Live wire but I dont know which one this is.There are 3 wires going into my house and the bookley sayson is neutrel. Then there is a green one. There is one with two red bands around it. I can give a picture if needed.

A picture would help but the red banded ones are the 2 hot leads(UK uses a 240V system) the green is your gnd.After seeing picture the 2 large cables(gray are your power and the small green is your gnd. cliping on either of the gray cables should do it since any amp's being used will return via neutral(nonbanded gray wire)

if you don't know what your doing get a sparky in before you injure or kill your self, it will not cost a fortune and could save you a fortune. Don't mess with electrics if you are un-qualified.
