How can I improve my EQ?

I'm 18 but I think my eq is the lowest 5 percentile. My best friend keep telling me I cannot read people at all. EQ often help people to success in workplaces instead rather than people with high IQ.

IQ seems a lot more common than EQ.

And in most most corporations, EQ and the ability to consequently bring in the business is paid infinitely more than IQ.

I'm not saying high IQs aren't paid well, but the CEO of an engineering firm for example would probably be an MBA that has charisma with dozens of PhD researchers under his command.

I'd guess you develop EQ by interacting with more people. But you have to shut up, listen and observe initially to actually learn how people interact, and what they actually mean.

EQ well I read a lil about it and it seems to be more about what people are like as people.

Sounds like someone thinks that some how a person can be measured by questions in terms of what they are like ot be around.

Have you considered that you may have your own way of reading other people? Just because you dont fit other peoples patterns for doing things or making sense of things doesnt reduce the validity of your way for you.Dont stress about it.
