  1. 1) make sure your legs are shoulder width apart.

    2) make sure on your followthrough your body is behind the ball !

  2. There are two things you can do. If you think your legs are spread out enough, then you should:                                         1) Make sure your weight shift through-out the swing is even.  On your backswing, you shift your weight to the inside of your back foot and on the forward swing, you shift you weight to the heel of your front foot.

    2) Keep the club on plane. If you swing way to the outside on your forward swing, then you will tend to fall forwards.

  3. You can improve your balance with an easy drill.

If you practice swing with your feet close together you will end up on your backside if you do not turn properly and transfer your weight throughout the swing.

Once you have mastered the swing with your feet close together, widen your stance and, test your swing this will impove your swing and in turn your balance.

  4. Separating your feet in your stance will provide you a more stable base, but it will impact your ability to shift your weight properly through the swing.  This means less power behind the swing.

When if feel out of balance in my swing, (like falling forward or hanging back), I put my feet only a few inches apart and hit some easy 8 or 7 irons.  This promotes a downward strike on the ball and keeps me centered over the shot.  Sometimes I might even stand on one foot and take a few shots.  Hope it helps.

  5. Ok at golf camp at Oklaoma state university, lame right but they have one of the best college teams ever, look it up. They had us stand on one foot and close our eyes. They said tour pros can do it for 3 minutes easilly. I can do it for a minute with practice. Its harder than it sounds. Try it and do it with both legs alternating. ITS HARD and improves you balance

  6. the best thing that you can do is swing a weighted club with your feet together. i do it all the time

    hope this helped

  7. Google "Tracy Reed golf"

  8. make ur stance smaller and swing a little easier if u think ur swinging 2 hard.

  9. Seperate your legs a few extra inches (but it will negatively impact your club speed and most likely your distance).

  10. Let me give you a great tip to better get a sense of what proper balance should feel like.

Take your 8 iron to a practice range. Set up to hit the ball as you normally would. Take your right foot and move it directly backward about for inches and balance on the toe of your right foot. So your left foot will be in place, flat on the ground, but your right foot will be behind where it normally would be planted and only the toe of your right foot will touching the ground with the sole perpendicular to the ground.

Now hit some balls while in the position. You'll feel the full sensation of balance as a result of the natural weight shift to the right side and then to the left side. Hit several balls in that position and then hit some balls using your normal address and that sensation will be part of your normal swing thought process. And you can better improve on the balance sensation by leaving right foot planted and moving your left foot back and on its toe. Try it. You'll be amazed.
