I am a college student with a 3.50 GPA and I am interested in transferring to U.O for their Biology program. Any suggestions or general advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. You need to be involved, the general thought is that any one can make a 3.5 if they study hard enough but only the truly gifted can do it while working, doing community service, and being in active member in on campus clubs. Also if you are already at a University you have a higher chance of being accepted then if you came from a community college

  2. Well if you have enough credits to be considered a transfer student, I'd say you have a pretty good chance at getting in from where you stand right now. I've got a couple friends who got it and their GPAs were closer to 3.0/3.2.

But if you're really concerned I would add some extracurriculars/club affiliations/volunteering along with your classwork. Those always help you to stand out :)
