Question:

How can I improve my driving skills?

Hi, I'm 16 years old and I got my permit. There are a few things I have trouble doing on the road. The primary problem with me is remaining centered in one lane - I tend to drift too far to the right and that makes the cars driving next to me very nervous! Second, I have trouble controlling the wheel after making a turn - I make the turn, but straightening out the wheel AFTER a turn is what causes problems. How can I smoothly straighten out the wheel after a turn so that my car isn't jerking around in the lane....

Thanks!

  1. Hi Lalu

Take your Car ( How Old) to an open road and drive at a steady speed of 50 to 60 then slowly on level road leave your hands from the steering, then hold the steering back again and ensure no one is at the rear and hit the Brake pedal if in either if the two the car swers to one side call your Dad and head straight for the Garage for some alignment. Also if at high speeds if the Car is jumpy and moves side ways ir requires attention.

Normally after a turn we release the grip on the Wheel and it slides back if it dont help it after all it is your car but all this at a place where no one is around. One small tip test if your Parking brake is working you can use it instead of the clutch to stop at a gradient. And the best way ti park in a conjested parking lot is to reverse the car in to the gap.

    Bye buddy.

  2. hmm lets see here

1st thats just something you have to work on

try like in a parking lot or sumtin to stay inbetween things

and after you make a turn dont try to turn the wheel back to its original spot just let it slide with it just grazing your hand

    if that makes any sense
