Watch as many DVDs and video tapes as you can.

Read newspapers - especially tough ones like the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and New York Times on a daily basis.

Watch soap operas of "The Lifetime Channel" for easy English and the news (if you can stand it).

Also, don't be afraid to ask people to correct your English pronunciation and grammar.  When you get a bit more confident, go out and buy a grammar book and study it.

Don't be shy! Talk to people.

Use as many sources as possible. There are four modalities in language learning - reading, writing, speaking and listening. You want to practice all of these. Watch English language film and TV, video (on youtube), news reports etc. Read English language articles, books, cartoons (humor is often very revealing about subtleties in the language). Play an online video game like World of Warcraft or Everquest on an English language server. That will give you access to both written chat and voice chat and you will make friends who speak the language. Keep a journal in English to expand your vocabulary and writing skills. Read forums on topics of intersst and post.

Ultimately learning only gets you so far. What you need is language aquisition which takes place as a result of repeated exposure to authentic language production.

there are alot of ways to improve ur english.1st u must get the hang of speaking english.2nd u must read,or watch any good englisg films(not p**n films ok,u cant learn anything from that)..u must try to read any material that has english in it....either a magazine,newspaper or so on.....
