How can I improve my metabolism?

What can I do to improve my metabolism, I'm a guy, 21 I play sports, swim and I barely even eat anything and my body is still still not at the point of where I'd want it to be. I think something is wrong with my metabolism. What can I do to improve it? I mean I'm not fat by any means, but its still very difficult for me to be even in an "ok" shape. I do drink, I stay up late and I'm not a big fan of vegetable but I work out and eat little also so I dunno. Someone give me tips on how to improve :) thanks...

  1. Do you mean, get you're metabolism rate up, and active?

    There's tones of ways to do that, I just have'nt found them all out.

    But I know a few good ones that have done me, and peers good.

    Green tea:

    Green tea is great, and pure, you should drink 2-3 big cups a day (after every meal) it breaks down the fat from the food you ate, and will keep you for-filled intill you're next meal. It also boosts you're metabolism rate over-time if you drink it enough.

    Activeness:

    This is key, the more exercize= the more rate.

    It's a true fact, exercize speeds up you're metabolism.

    Do 45-60 minutes of cardio per day, trim that fat, and boost that metabolism.

    5-6 Meals:

    Eating small meals every 2-3 hours, instead of having 3 big meals will boost you're metabolism throughout the day. Try 5-6 small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones.

    Breakfast:

    Eat BREAKFAST, I cannot hense this enough. You're body is in sleep mode still when you wake up intill you eat, which gets that metabolism started thats why people hense breakfast so much, because it gets the day 'started'

Starving your body of food is not good for anything, to boost your metabolism you should eat small meals regularly I heard somewhere, Your Metabolism is like a fire instead of using one big log to keep the fire burning, use little twigs regularly because it won't have to work as hard to burn up those twigs than it would a big fat log =D hope you reach your goal

  3. you need to drink more water. Water will raise your metabolism, guarantee it. And if you drink ice cold water your body will have to work hard to heat it up to your body temp which will also increase your metabolism. I think that is what your lacking. Try it. plus you will feel better too.  

  4. Hmmm....how about: don't drink so much, don't eat crappy foods and get more sleep.  You'll never get a better body by doing the things you know aren't going to be beneficial.  Eat fruits, eat veggies...do your research online.  Always start your day off with a large glass of ice cold water before you eat anything.  It kicks your metabolism into drive.  Then, always make sure you have a healthy breakfast.

  5. Eating 6 small low-fat meals every 3 hours will crank up your metabolism. Good sleep and spicy foods can also help.
