  1. There's a swing trainer called the "Power Hitter" which is weighted club. It's not some silly shaped thing, it's an actual club that has a weighted shaft. You can actually hit balls with it. It forces you to swing smooth as it's heavy. They make it both in an iron version as well as driver version. I imagine if you hit about 10 or 20 balls with it, then hit the same club in your actual set you'd be killing it. Good luck!

  2. this is a really good site with a lot of info for swing speed.

    Good luck!

  3. when you're practiciing try swinging a weighted club to you get used to swinging that and then when you start swinging your normal clubs, they will feel lighter and you can swing them faster

  4. Use a weighted club, u can get one at most pro shops.

  5. Most amateurs misunderstand the hinging and unhinging of the wrists to create swing speed. Proper hinging in the back swing and delaying unhinging in the downswing dramatically increases swing speed with not much effort. When the wrists unhinge, just before impact, the hands move about a foot and the clubhead moves as much as six feet in the same time span. Obviously the clubhead is accelerating. This is why pro golfer's swings seem effortless, almost like they are swinging easy.

Research some articles on wrist c**k and unhinging.

  6. keep practing

  7. Work on your core strength, doing things like push ups and sit ups

  8. Step 1: Assume a standing position with your arms straight and hanging down in front of you, holding your medicine ball or dumbbell.

Step 2: As you step forward with one leg, rotate your upper body to that same side, holding the medball or dumbbell chest high the whole time.

Step 3: Return to starting position and do the opposite leg.

Step 4: Repeat each side 10 times for 3 sets.

If you are consistent with this exercise, you will see improvement in your golf swing speed, power and distance in a very short period of time.

  9. well i dont play golf, and im not sure what 'speed stick is'.

but when i play baseball, before i go up to the plate i use a 5 lb. weight to warm up, and when i take it off, my bat is as light as a feather.
