  1. You have to believe in yourself.

you must believe in order to achieve.

  2. If you shave your legs or trim the hairs on your legs , wear a tighter jersey. is all  Less air resistance.

  3. I don't know how much you can do in 2 days, but here is some advise for the day of:

Run the first mile at a steady yet not going your fastest (In terms of running a mile that is).  Around your second mile, increase your speed. Think, 1 down, 1 to go. Once you start feeling yourself getting tired at one pace, increase that pace to a faster one. Finish hard and strong. If you have the energy, sprinting the last 200m can have a nice affect on your time.

Never give up, pain is only a message... and messages can be ignored.

  4. There is little to no training that you can do in two days.  In fact, any intense training now will hurt your performance in such a short time period.  You body won't be able to recover.  Therefore, I would recommend just doing some light jogging, but nothing that would make you sore the next day.

Eat healthy for the next couple days, but that should be a given.

The best place to make up 2 minutes will actually be in the run itself.  Acknowledge what your goal is (it would have been nice if you told us what time you need, dropping from a 14 to 12 is a lot different than dropping from 22 to 20).  Let's say you need a 16 minute two mile, adjust the math for whatever you need.  Make that your goal and focus on that.  Don't worry about being the greatest or fastest, focus on what you need.

It is going to be easiest to get a 16 minute 2 mile if you run even splits.  That means back to back 8 minute miles.  That means 4 four minute 800s in a row.  That means 8 two minute laps in a row.  Focus on that.  Every lap should be exactly 2 minutes.  Just keep churning out 2 minute laps.  Don't worry if other people go faster, you want your time.  Hopefully they will feel easy in the beginning, but they will get harder.  When you hit your last lap (which you should hit at about 14 minutes), give it your all and you should end up comfortably under 16 minutes.

Short answer:  You can't fix your training, so fix your race.

    Good luck.

  5. ok dont be a *** and shave your legs.  train like h**l the first day and the next day do a little jog and for the whole two days think in your head that you are the best runner ever.  I have found that running is mostly guts. you can do it right now. you just have to know you can first.
